Sample materials characterization techniques: basic gravimetric determinations, sulfur assay, true density, compaction density, cohesive integrity of particle compacts, electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity, complete chemical analysis via ICP and XRF, scanning electron microscopy with EDX, optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction characterization, hygroscopicity, oxidation threshold temperature, self-heating threshold, and other chemical and physical characterization methods.
